Direct Forming Technology represents a paradigm shift in structural hollow section production. Unlike conventional round-to-square methods, DFT mills form square and rectangular profiles directly from flat strip in a single pass, eliminating secondary forming entirely.

Only one set of rolls covers the entire size range with automatic adjustment, enabling true just-in-time manufacturing. Changeover takes minutes, not hours. Material savings of 2-10% are achieved through optimized forming geometry. The direct forming process delivers superior dimensional precision with consistent flat surfaces, tight corner radii, and minimal residual stress.
