FBE Coating Plants

Fusion bonded epoxy, the most widely specified onshore coating solution

FBE Coating System Overview

FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy) is a single-layer thermosetting powder coating applied electrostatically at 180-250°C. The epoxy forms a uniform 400-600 micron barrier providing excellent corrosion protection for onshore buried pipelines globally. This is the most widely specified coating system for land-based pipeline infrastructure.

FBE delivers exceptional cathodic disbondment resistance, making it the ideal choice for pipelines operating under impressed current cathodic protection systems. Fast application speeds and cost-effectiveness combine to make FBE the industry standard for economic, reliable pipeline protection.

Fully compliant with ISO 21809-2, CSA Z245.20, and NACE SP0394 standards, FBE is proven across millions of kilometers of pipeline worldwide.
